Sounds of Silence: Sand Man

Sometimes beauty comes through the ear as well as the eye.  Consider the case of Shannon Robbins, a.k.a Sandman and Sandmeezy.  Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, 1987 Sandman grew up with a passion for music that led him to intern at the age of 16 with local radio station 104.9  “The Beat” through a work source program.  There he started learning the music game and meeting famous musicians.

The musical Sandman’s two deaf cousins made him want to find out more about being deaf.  At the age of 19 he took an American Sign Language  (ASL) class at a local high school.  A couple of years later one of his deaf cousins died of sickle-cell anemia.  This only strengthened Sandman’s commitment to the deaf community.  From time to time he assists the deaf parishioners at Oakwood Baptist Church.

“Speaking and helping out with deaf people taught me to pray in sign language and do my music in sign language.  I want to become the first rapper to aid the deaf community with music!” claims Sandman.

Almost paralyzed from an accident that nearly cost him his life, Sandman is on a mission to have the world play his music world-wide and motivate those who lack self-confidence.  Being an up and coming solo artist from Lubbock, Texas has created a strong buzz for him across the globe from the United States, Europe, and Canada.  Around the world, people are talking about Sandmeezy and his music.  Soon he plans to tour Europe and the beautiful Maldives Islands.

Radio stations from all over are contacting him for sit down live interviews.  Fox Live News from Abilene, Texas interviewed Sandman a.k.a Sandmeezy on TV about his music and his amazing life story.  He made a song with European top model Gioele Gatto Piperno.  He is a model/rapper/movie actor.
