Marneen Lynne Fields Super Intelligent Song Bird Is On Fire!

Congratulations SAG actress, POP singer, and ASCAP composer, Marneen Lynne Fields on a great 2010! Five of Marneen’s songs have hit the #1 & #2 positions on the music internet charts beating out over 1 million other songs.

Imagine if, as Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men have intimated, deceased loved ones are really looking down from Heaven, ever watchful and still caring, as depicted in their 90’s monster smash hit, “One Sweet Day:”

And I know you’re shining down on me from Heaven
Like so many friends we’ve lost along the way
And I know eventually we’ll be together one sweet day
Eventually I’ll see you in Heaven

Consider the possibility that the next life is not only interdependent on the present but also impacts us in a very real way. These wistful themes permeate many schools of thought, philosophies, and religions. They are also of prime concern to us, especially as mankind approaches and contemplates the veracity of the dreaded 12-12-12 DOOMSDAY as prophesized by the Mayans.

Maybe, in fact, we do have a connection with the next life  because as the great ex-stunt performer,  actress of over 100 movies, author of  books,  singer of chart topping internet mega-hit songs, and nominee of at least 5 music awards, Marneen Lynne Fields shared, ”Although stunt work is extremely dangerous and at times life threatening, I must have had an angel on my shoulder because I have survived leaps from planes, helicopters, trains, running through mind fields amidst gun fires!

Marneen is referring to her mom who was called “RUBY.” Unfortunately, Ruby recently died, succumbing, after waging a long, brave and valiant fight against not only various forms of cancer, but also schizophrenia. Ruby is looking down from Heaven, as her little girl approaches her destiny with music award winning history, poised to possibly win, and win and win, AGAIN AND AGAIN!

The heartfelt genius of Marneen, which she channels, as if she is a conduit for humanitarianism, helps bring relief to the economically and spiritually bankrupt people. She wields her intellectual and spiritual musical vibe, in conjunction with her artistic and humanitarian friends, as if her angel Ruby sculpted her heart into an atomic treble clef by which she provides aid and relief to the disadvantaged people of the world through her music.

Her video “We Can Take Some of the Pain Away” garnered Best Music Video Nomination. It intended to shed light on the horrors of and to better the Indonesian educational system. It was a collaborative effort among winning film score arranger Ben Hammer who provided musical arrangement with Suling Flute; famous cinematographer Roydon Johnson; and Marneen, who also provided vocal arrangement and editing for the project. To capture the heart wrenching and devastating images in the film, Roydon went into the most desolate and poverty stricken areas of Indonesia to film.

Marneen’s rendition of R.E.M’S huge hit, “Every Body Hurts,” not only lights up this film, but it’s impact stirred up thousands, including the famous South African composer and founder of Shrine Records, Rory Wolman, who along with Grammy winner Tom Weir, not only produced it, but also included it in Wolman’s Album which aided children’s charities in their world tour. Singer Lou Rawl Jr. also assisted with that tour. Interestingly enough, Marneen is poised to release 2 original songs from her cd called “The Blue Project” in late 2012.

Marneen Lynne Fields Awards

Marneen’s song, “Shadows,” which has been nominated for both the 2012 LA Music Awards and the 2013 Artists in Music Awards, was created to prevent suicides. Marneen expounding on the intricacies of “Shadows,” noted that it has the “F” word” in it. She adds, “It is not written in an obscene way and by the way, I didn’t write the lyrics to the song. The idea that I pitched to New York Paramount is about a young girl’s thoughts to commit suicide, but in the end she doesn’t do it. It’s artistically and sensitively rendered to help with suicide prevention in young girls.”

So if anyone says anything about the “F” word being in “Shadows,” please let them know that Marneen is a humanitarian and advocate for children’s rights. The music video and sales of “Shadows” are both for suicide prevention. “Shadows” was written by London’s David Palfreyman, (lead singer of M.A.L.F) and produced by Stuart Epps (the famous record producer of Elton John and Led Zeppelin.

Her screenplay entitled “Kathryn Davis Take 2” and where she stars is also up for the Producers Choice Nomination for Comedy Screenplay. This screenplay, loosely based on her life, is about a middle aged performer.

Thus, it must be clear that Marneen is a very talented and empathetic soul: A soul that has been nominated for at least 5 music awards and a soul that has a voracious appetite to garner and accumulate intelligence and skills from all sides of life’s spectrum.

This talented soul is adamant that her passion stems from a humanitarian dynamic.  Marneen recently wrote a screenplay named “A Lost and Found Gem” based on the life of her mom Ruby, who was once homeless, schizophrenic, and unfortunately recently deceased. But her aspiration goes beyond this screenplay because she also wants to create a charity called “The Ruby Marie Farris Charity,” to assist the mentally ill and their families.

As you can see, her kindness is only outmatched by her spiritual and physical beauty. Her career has spanned over 35 years and it is not too late for her to become a world famous, award winning actress.  I feel that she will still get an Oscar or Tony or Academy Award as well as the musical awards that she has been nominated to win. Why? She has an unfair advantage. It is so unfair!!! She has an angel on her shoulder… named Ruby!!

I was born in Fountainbleu in Paris France to an army family. My father ,Ruben Smith, and my mother Nancy Smith, worked for the Army and as a school teacher in France, respectively. We are originally from the South. My father’s people from Misissippi and Alabama and my mom’s from South Carolina. I am an avid sports fan and I attended and played sports----football, wresting, and track----- at Bishop England High School, in Charleston, South Carolina; my mom chose both a Catholic high school and an elementary school, Immaculate Conception, for my sister and I. Initially, I wasted a lot of time in school pursuing sports and partying but nevertheless,I went to the College of Charleston, The University of South Carolina, where I majored in Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, with a minor in Theatre and Speech. I finally graduated from The University of Redlands, in Redlands, CA with a degree in business management. I managed to get into SAG-AFTRA, mostly as an extra, but I have done an occasional speaking stint here and there—CD-ROMs, experimental and industrial films, and voice overs in radio. My most recent endeavor was playing a doctor on "Grey's Anatomy". I like horror, love, thrillers, and I like to read. Weightliftingand jogging are some of my hobbies also. Interestingly enough, my family prepared me for a life on the move, as I have been to every state in The USA except for Alaska and Hawaii. I have an older sister who chose the teaching profession and is doing quite fine. What was i like as a child? Well I tend to think that I existed and flourished within "a culture of hate"--------however South Carolina has ceased and desisted with both "The jim Crow Laws' and flying the Confederate Flag------------I witnessed "colored only" bathrooms, and was in establishments where the Klan showed up. I stayed at hotels where my family and I found pounds of raw CHITTERLINS---hogs guts----- at our doorstep!! But don't get me wrong, as despite these ugly truths about the South, I grew up with some very cool whites, mexicans, Filipino's and other races. But it is what it is. It has Metamorphosized into being a cultural and real estate melting pot, as many from other states are recently flocking there for the cheaper home prices, very stable, safer lifestyle and "bible belt" mentality, and affordable education. I too have Metamorphosized , as I am not the militant little athletic, and partying freak I used to be and have settled into writing for Cold Heat News and assisting We Care for Humanity with their charitable functions. Consequently, I am pretty much a normal army brat who has realized that life is what you make it and people and things are subject to change. So change with life and let by gones be by gones. My dad has since passed away, and my mom and sister and most of my cousins are still alive, but their positive, significant influence, along with the impact my elementary and high school friends have had on me continues on;infact, I believe, where it not for my childhood friends, my high school football Coach Jack Cantey and occasional teenage battles with my dad, I would have become a gang member! Thus my personal manifesto is, Live hard, party when it is time, and utilize both education, and Love for God, and know that FAMILY AND FRIENDS are most important; They're one's conduit for a viable and happy life. ALSO, A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND---NOT A "FAIR WEATHER"------INDEED.
