OLU VICTOR ODUKOYA ‘S EXCITING FILM “SMOOVE” IS ON FIRE!

OLU VICTOR ODUKOYA’S FILM, “BUSTED”–THE MOVIE, THE EXPERIENCE, IS COMING TO YOU SOON!

OLU VICTOR ODUKOYA’S FILM, “BUSTED”–THE MOVIE, THE EXPERIENCE, IS COMING TO YOU SOON!

MUCH LIKE THE BEATLES WHO MADE THEIR MARK IN ENGLAND, OLU VICTOR ODUKOYA,WRITER,ACTOR, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, AND WILL SOON BE, IN MY OPINION, A WORLD RENOWNED FILMMAKER,  A DESCEDANT OF THE LITTLE KNOWN SECT OF BLACKS, INDIGENOUS TO THEIR COUNTRY —–MUCH LIKE AMERICA’S AFRICAN AMERICANS—KNOWN AS AFRO-GERMANS, IS LEADNG THE WAY FOR HIS  FELLOW COUNTRYMEN, AS HE SPEARHEADS THE AFRO-GERMAN INVASION,  UNLEASHING 3 DECADENTLY TASTY FEATURE  FILM  CINEMATIC- -LIKE-EXTRAVAGANZAS AND A FOURTH ALREADY IN PRODUCTION: “BUSTED”, A   2011 ” SKILLET FILM CONTEST ” FINALIST,  “SMOOVE”, “  ”GROW SLOW”, AND IN PRODUCTION, “WASH”,  BETWEEN SUMMER AND DECEMBER,IN  THE UNITED STATES IN 2013; IN ADDITION, HIS SHORT FILM,  ACCORDING TO, ODUKOYA , “SILENT WORDS”  ‘Which I  made in THE form of a video poem was an official selection of THE SNAG FILM CONTEST.’

ODUKOYA, THE EFFERVESCENT FILMMAKING  PHENOM AND MAVERICK NEW KID ON THE UNITED STATES ENTERTAINMENT  BLOCK, IS A LEADER, NOT A FOLLOWER, AND THIS CHARISMATIC TALENTED MAN WILL SNARE A LEGION OF FOLLOWERS, DIGGING HIS CINEMATIC BEACONE,  IN FACT, ODUKOYA CONFIDED IN ME, ‘ My burning desire emcompasses the love of and the art of story telling and I will say my utmost desire is to be a distinct filmmaker with the ability to tell any kind of story that I want to without limitations. Being a great success on that path as a Writer, Director, and  Producer is my burning desire.’
HAVING LIVED IN EUROPE, AS I WAS BORN IN PARIS, FRANCE COURTESY OF THE  ARMY BRAT VEHICLE——– MY FATHER, RUBEN  SMITH BEING STATIONED IN FRANCE AT THE ARMY BASE  “CAMP S.H.A.P.E”, I HAVE A WARM PLACE IN MY HEART’ FOR ASPIRING AND FUTURE EUROPEAN SUPERSTARS.EVEN THE OCCASIONAL “WANNA BE” HAS CAUGHT MY EYE, BUT  AS THEY SAY , IN THE COMMON SLANG, “OLU VICTOR ODUKOYA  AIN’T NO JOKE!”. VICTOR ODUKOYA EXPOUNDED MORE FULLY ON HIS VERY ENRICHED UPBRINGING AND INTENSELY INTERESTING LIFE WITH VERY INFORMATIVE AND INTERESTING NOTES: THEY ARE AS FOLLOWS:
‘I was raised by a single parent, (My Mom) and I’ve have always loved writing stories either in the form of songs, or just in my own little story books but my mom never really paid attention to that part of me; she had her own dream of me becoming an accountant or someone who studied business. So, after high school I gained an admission to study international business management at an higher institution in The Netherlands called H.E.A.O in the city of Sittard. Upon realizing that I was only in the  school just to satisfy my mom and not to follow my own dreams, I gave it up in my second year and sought admission into another college in Leeds England, called Leeds College of Technology, where I eventually earned my Higher National Diploma in Media (“MOVING IMAGE”)). I was also a boxer as a child and at some point in life, boxing was all encompassing to me,as I had thought that boxing was all that I would ever do; but there was always something that drove me towards story telling, more than any other thing that  I have done in my life. While in college in England, I wrote or created many stories and concepts for every group I’ d become  involved with, and I noticed that most people were often amazed at my ideas!. That was the catalyst which galvanied and prompted me to  finally decide to focus on story telling in the medium of filmmaking and left every other ambition behind me, such as boxing, and designated them as merely hobbies.
Maurice,  I noticed that you asked why I lived in Germany. Afro/Germans just like African Americans here in American have been existing in Germany since the first world war and they still exist there till today, both of my parents and me are Afro/German descendants. I know that most people don’t know that Afro/Germans exist because I’m often asked that question everywhere I go and that was why I did a documentary about it. Infact, I did a popular documentary in Germany about Afro-Germans that featured few known Afro/German personalities such as ADE Bantu (An activist and German musician), Katharina Ogutoye (  A very popular Author and also an activist), Tyron Ricketts ( A popular German Actor and a former TV presenter at the TV station called VIVA in Koln, Germany) and a few other important Afro German media personalities also participated in the documentary. My documentary was aimed to educate the German society and foreigners about how the Afro/Germans came into existence and how they live in Germany till today. The documentary encompased  not only our our history, and  identification problems, but also discrimination problems that we had faced in the past and also, most importantly, currently, and our future in Germany. As of the cast for my feature film ‘WASH”, Me and my other partner producer, (Raymond Michael Quiroga) who is co-producing the movie with me have a long list of actors that we are working on to bring on board, some of them confirmed and some are not, actors like Lenny Kravitz , Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jeffrey Wright, Idris Elba, Cuba Goodings Jr, Franka Potente, Celina Gomez and Steve Buscemi are all on our list.’

LET’S GET DOWN TO BRASS TACKS SHALL WE?  ODUKOYA’ S FILM ,” BUSTED” IS A FILM ,WHICH MUCH LIKE LIFE MEANDERS ALONG A PATH  THAT IS FILLED WITH JOY AND PAIN, BUT ALSO WITH MISCHIEF—CRIMINAL ACTIVITY, LOVE, AND KARMA.  “SMOOVE”, AND HIS OTHER FILM, “GROW SLOWER” ARE FILMS WHICH WILL TOUCH AND LEAVE YOU BOTH AMAZED AT HIS DEPTH AND SENSITIVY IN TELLING TALES WHICH WERE ONCE ONLY TOLD THROUGH THE MEDIUM OF VIOLENCE AND OR NUDITH, WHILE STICKING A PLOT TO IT. VICTOR, EXCELS IN TELLING IT LIKE IT IS, AND IN THE PROCESS UNVIELS AND CREATING MANY EMOTIONS IN THE HEARTS OF THE AUDIECE——-HENCE MY REASON FOR FEELING THAT VICTOR ODAKOYA IS QUITE POSSIBLY THE NEXT STEVEN SPIELBERG OR Q TARANTINO. LOOK OUT AND PURSUE THIS MAN, AS HE CAN MAKE ACTOR’S DREAMS COME TRUE. ALSO HE IS A GENUINE FREE SPIRIT THAT IS CONSUMED WITH HIS TALENT AND HIS VISION—-TO TELL IT LIKE IT IS, BUT UNLIKE ANY OTHER COULD POSSIBLY EVER  TELL IT!!

I was born in Fountainbleu in Paris France to an army family. My father ,Ruben Smith, and my mother Nancy Smith, worked for the Army and as a school teacher in France, respectively. We are originally from the South. My father’s people from Misissippi and Alabama and my mom’s from South Carolina. I am an avid sports fan and I attended and played sports----football, wresting, and track----- at Bishop England High School, in Charleston, South Carolina; my mom chose both a Catholic high school and an elementary school, Immaculate Conception, for my sister and I. Initially, I wasted a lot of time in school pursuing sports and partying but nevertheless,I went to the College of Charleston, The University of South Carolina, where I majored in Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, with a minor in Theatre and Speech. I finally graduated from The University of Redlands, in Redlands, CA with a degree in business management. I managed to get into SAG-AFTRA, mostly as an extra, but I have done an occasional speaking stint here and there—CD-ROMs, experimental and industrial films, and voice overs in radio. My most recent endeavor was playing a doctor on "Grey's Anatomy". I like horror, love, thrillers, and I like to read. Weightliftingand jogging are some of my hobbies also. Interestingly enough, my family prepared me for a life on the move, as I have been to every state in The USA except for Alaska and Hawaii. I have an older sister who chose the teaching profession and is doing quite fine. What was i like as a child? Well I tend to think that I existed and flourished within "a culture of hate"--------however South Carolina has ceased and desisted with both "The jim Crow Laws' and flying the Confederate Flag------------I witnessed "colored only" bathrooms, and was in establishments where the Klan showed up. I stayed at hotels where my family and I found pounds of raw CHITTERLINS---hogs guts----- at our doorstep!! But don't get me wrong, as despite these ugly truths about the South, I grew up with some very cool whites, mexicans, Filipino's and other races. But it is what it is. It has Metamorphosized into being a cultural and real estate melting pot, as many from other states are recently flocking there for the cheaper home prices, very stable, safer lifestyle and "bible belt" mentality, and affordable education. I too have Metamorphosized , as I am not the militant little athletic, and partying freak I used to be and have settled into writing for Cold Heat News and assisting We Care for Humanity with their charitable functions. Consequently, I am pretty much a normal army brat who has realized that life is what you make it and people and things are subject to change. So change with life and let by gones be by gones. My dad has since passed away, and my mom and sister and most of my cousins are still alive, but their positive, significant influence, along with the impact my elementary and high school friends have had on me continues on;infact, I believe, where it not for my childhood friends, my high school football Coach Jack Cantey and occasional teenage battles with my dad, I would have become a gang member! Thus my personal manifesto is, Live hard, party when it is time, and utilize both education, and Love for God, and know that FAMILY AND FRIENDS are most important; They're one's conduit for a viable and happy life. ALSO, A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND---NOT A "FAIR WEATHER"------INDEED.
