Introducing,”Dark Symphony”, by Le Reverie; A music lover’s dream: The Los Angeles Music Awards winner for “Breakout Single of the Year”—Hold Me Down.

at EastWest Studios Hollywood, California

Nestled within the cacophonous labyrinth of Sunset Strip’s nightlife, throbbing, sparkling, inundated with a tsunamic-like decadence of glitz and glamour, as rock and roll clubs sprinkles its hedonistic landscape, an esoteric-entertainment-like vibe beats, much like a heart beat, and on October 4, 2013  at The Roxy Theatre, 9009 Sunset Bl, in Los Angeles, La Reverie, voted by The Los Angeles Music Awards, and RockWired Magazine, as the winner of  “Break Out Single of the Year”, and voted as one of  the  top 20 best rock artists for 2012, respectively, erupted upon  the musical pulse of The Roxy with its much heralded award winning CD ,”Dark Symphony”,  a surrealistic, almost spellbinding, “Goth” elixir-like style into the veins of “The Strips” rock and roll night scene, and fed, via a CD Release Show, to its faithful following, who insatiably absorbed its soothing qualities.

 Le Reverie, led by its female song stylist, Allie Jorgen,singer songwriter, and “smirkster/jokester, and its drummer, who prefers to be called, “Rod”, I had the honor of interviewing them——-, along with their “shy” keyboardist, who refused to be seen,—infront of a bank, alongside the venue. Allie, jokingly but defiantly and triumphantly, said that their response to naysayers and haters’ venom ‘Who told us NOT TO DO A BAND, was to not only form one but to write the hit and award winning recipient of the Los Angeles Music Awards “Break out Single Awards Wiining Song of the Year, “Hold Me Down”….You can’t hold us down!!” Echoing this flavor  of  self sustaining, thick skinned, serridipitous buoyancy, was Roc Boyum, the drummer. He said, ‘ We were very lucky in that “it” came to us while we were in the studio recording.’  He went on to say, ‘Y’know being a drummer , explained the talente drummer, ‘is like being an engine. If the engine stutters then the whole thing is in trouble’. This talented group performed as if on a mission.

 Le Reverie has worked with the famous producer, Ron Nevison,  having worked with such musical giants as Led Zeppelin, and The Who, said, according to the online site,, ‘”Le Reverie is an amazing assortment of Musicians and Songwriters fronted by Allie Jorgen, destined to be on top!’. Accolades flow like hit smashing, chart topping, revenues for this group, who according to many media venues, is unstoppable. For instance,  Fireworks Magazine, according to, said “Hailed as a female fronted Dream Theater, there is a good chance they are
going to make a BIG impact on the music scene!” Xombiewoof Magazine thinks that Le Reverie is hot and a sure succcess. Furthermore, according to ,these media sites sais that this band is a major monster band one day. Their statements are as follows: Le Reverie are a combination of Evanescence and Dream Theater…All Access Magazine;
Le Reverie are hailed as a Female Fronted Dream Theater…Fireworks Magazine, UK; Musically, they remind you of Evanescence… Tracks of well played, well sung, well produced hard rock… MARTIN HOWELL POWERPLAY MAGAZINE (UK).

In conclusion, If you wnat to see  Le Reverie LIVE, just go to Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights at Club Infusion Lounge at Universal Studios City WalkFriday, October 25 at 8:0 PM. I feel that they are a fantastic group of kids. TheIR TALENT IS NOT ONLY DEEP, BUT THERE IS THE SENSE THAT YOU ARE IN THE HOUSE WITH MUSICIANS THAT ARE ABOUT TO DO GREAT THINGS!!. I personally feel that this band is not a copycat, but an originally self -stylized theatre band that has the abilities of Freddie Mercury’s Queen. Time will tell. Finally, They are really just really young cats that are down to  earth and are living vey happily in a moment tha seems to have siezed them up by DESTINY.

Le Reverie will be LIVE on the Radio, The David Ray Global Rock Show, Tuesday, October 15 at 8:00 PM (CT) 6:00 PM (PT)

I was born in Fountainbleu in Paris France to an army family. My father ,Ruben Smith, and my mother Nancy Smith, worked for the Army and as a school teacher in France, respectively.We are originally from the South. My father’s people from Misissippi and Alabama and my mom’s from South Carolina. I am an avid sports fan and I attended and played sports----football, wresting, and track----- at Bishop England High School, in Charleston, South Carolina; my mom chose both a Catholic high school and an elementary school, Immaculate Conception, for my sister and I. Initially, I wasted a lot of time in school pursuing sports and partying but nevertheless,I went to the College of Charleston, The University of South Carolina, where I majored in Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, with a minor in Theatre and Speech. I finally graduated from The University of Redlands, in Redlands, CA with a degree in business management. I managed to get into SAG-AFTRA, mostly as an extra, but I have done an occasional speaking stint here and there—CD-ROMs, experimental and industrial films, and voice overs in radio. My most recent endeavor was playing a doctor on "Grey's Anatomy". I like horror, love, thrillers, and I like to read. Weightliftingand jogging are some of my hobbies also. Interestingly enough, my family prepared me for a life on the move, as I have been to every state in The USA except for Alaska and Hawaii. I have an older sister who chose the teaching profession and is doing quite fine. What was i like as a child? Well I tend to think that I existed and flourished within "a culture of hate"--------however South Carolina has ceased and desisted with both "The jim Crow Laws' and flying the Confederate Flag------------I witnessed "colored only" bathrooms, and was in establishments where the Klan showed up. I stayed at hotels where my family and I found pounds of raw CHITTERLINS---hogs guts----- at our doorstep!! But don't get me wrong, as despite these ugly truths about the South, I grew up with some very cool whites, mexicans, Filipino's and other races. But it is what it is. It has Metamorphosized into being a cultural and real estate melting pot, as many from other states are recently flocking there for the cheaper home prices, very stable, safer lifestyle and "bible belt" mentality, and affordable education. I too have Metamorphosized , as I am not the militant little athletic, and partying freak I used to be and have settled into writing for Cold Heat News and assisting We Care for Humanity with their charitable functions. Consequently, I am pretty much a normal army brat who has realized that life is what you make it and people and things are subject to change. So change with life and let by gones be by gones. My dad has since passed away, and my mom and sister and most of my cousins are still alive, but their positive,significant influence, along with the impact my elementary and high school friends have had on me continues on;infact, I believe, where it not for my childhood friends, my high school football Coach Jack Cantey and occasional teenage battles with my dad, I would have become a gang member! Thus my personal manifesto is, Live hard, party when it is time, and utilize both education, and Love for God, and know that FAMILY AND FRIENDS are most important;They're one's conduit for a viable and happy life. ALSO, A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND---NOT A "FAIR WEATHER"------INDEED.
